We are Now Recruiting for Our Long COVID Study
We're actively recruiting participants for a study on Long COVID and its impact on residents in our health district!
Long COVID is when you are still sick many months after getting COVID-19. You do not need to be officially diagnosed with Long COVID in order to participate in this study. We want to learn about any symptoms you may have 2 or more months after a COVID-19 infection.
If you are interested in participating in our study, you can fill out the interest form at https://redcap.link/cvhdlongcovidstudy/ or call 804-664-4520. A member of our team will then reach out to you, review consent and complete a phone interview. We will then follow up at 3 and 6 months after the initial interview to review your symptoms.

Mindfulness Meditation for kids!Mindfulness is a valuable tool that can help children develop self-awareness, improve their relationships with others, and manage their emotions more effectively.Start simple by having them get into a comfortable position. Relax by taking a deep breath. Help them be present by noticing the environment around them with the five senses. Ask what can you see? What can you smell, touch, hear? That simple practice helps us remain in the present and can reduce anxiety and help calm the mind. There are many other simple meditations children can learn in order to grown in paying attention, remembering information, cultivate resilience and other advanced skills.
